Wani sabon bincike na asibiti na ɗan adam ya yi amfani da wani tsantsa mai inganci, mai lasisin mallakar ashwagandha, Witholytin, don tantance tasirinsa mai kyau akan gajiya da damuwa.
Masu bincike sun tantance amincin ashwagandha da tasirinsa ga gajiya da damuwa da ake ji a cikin maza da mata masu lafiya 111 masu shekaru 40-75 waɗanda suka fuskanci ƙarancin kuzari da damuwa mai matsakaici zuwa mai yawa a cikin makonni 12. Binciken ya yi amfani da maganin ashwagandha 200 mg sau biyu a rana.
Sakamakon ya nuna cewa mahalarta shan ashwagandha sun sami raguwa mai mahimmanci da kashi 45.81% a cikin ma'aunin Chalder Fatigue Scale (CFS) na duniya da kuma raguwar damuwa da kashi 38.59% (ma'aunin damuwa da aka fahimta) idan aka kwatanta da na asali bayan makonni 12.
Sauran sakamakon sun nuna cewa sakamakon jiki akan Tsarin Bayanin Ma'aunin Sakamakon Ma'aunin Marasa Lafiya (PROMIS-29) ya ƙaru (inganta) da kashi 11.41%, sakamakon tunani akan PROMIS-29 (inganta) ya ragu da kashi 26.30% kuma ya ƙaru da kashi 9.1% idan aka kwatanta da placebo. Bambancin bugun zuciya (HRV) ya ragu da kashi 18.8%.

Masu binciken da suka shiga cikin binciken sun yi iƙirarin cewa ashwagandha yana da fa'idodi masu yawa ga masu matsakaicin shekaru da tsofaffi masu kiba waɗanda ke fuskantar matsananciyar damuwa da gajiya.
An gudanar da wani ƙaramin bincike don bincika alamun hormones a cikin mahalarta maza da mata. Yawan testosterone kyauta (p = 0.048) da hormone luteinizing (p = 0.002) a cikin jini ya karu sosai da kashi 12.87% a cikin mazan da ke shan ashwagandha idan aka kwatanta da rukunin placebo.
